Applying for Registration in an additional Dental Hygiene Scope of Practice
You must be registered in the general dental hygiene, dental auxiliary or orthodontic auxiliary scope of practice
to apply for registration in one or more of the additional scopes of practice.
The additional scopes of practice are:
- Orthodontic Procedures in Dental Hygiene Practice
- Local Anaesthetic in Dental Hygiene Practice
- Extra Oral Radiography in Dental Hygiene or Orthodontic Auxiliary Practice
- Intra Oral Radiography in Dental Hygiene or Orthodontic Auxiliary Practice

includes covering notes and a general guide to the information that is required to register in the additional scopes.
Please complete this form, and return to the Dental Council together with the necessary documentation and fees to commence your application for registration.
