Eligibility Criteria for the Clinical Examination (NZDHREX)
 
To be eligible to apply to sit the clinical examination you must:
  1. hold a current pass in the written examination or have been granted an exemption from the written examination by the Council;
     
  2. demonstrate the ability to communicate and comprehend English to a level sufficient to protect the health and safety of the public as per the current Council's Policy on English Competence and English Tests (Please note that a pass of the relevant English Test will only be valid for two years);
     
  3. provide an original typed and signed Hepatitis B and C report, including Hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody and Hepatitis C antibody; (Requirements for a valid report: [+])
     
    and
     
  4. Not exceed the maximum allowable number of failures for the written and clinical examinations collectively (maximum 3 failures), within three years from the date of first sitting the written examination.
